Hope you all are doing well. With the springtime and the beautiful flowers in bloom I was inspired by the pastel colours the flowers to create this beautiful wreath for home, I wanted to hang them for Easter, so I made some cute and beautiful pastel clay eggs and added a bunny made using a card stock from paperpack.
I hope this lively Spring wreath brought some colours and happiness in this difficult pandemic times. I made this wreath inspired by the beautiful pastel colours (mint green, bright yellow, grey) and the spring flowers for the Mixed media academy challenge
First I painted a 10 inch embroidery hoop with pastel green chalk paint seafoam from Itsy Bitsy and added the lovely little birdie handmade flowers using silicon glue. .
I then made some handmade eggs using airdry clay, Once dry I painted it with chalk paints, and added a splatter of brown paint. And made some cute leaves.
Add the clay elements using using heavy gel and I added some glitter and pearl drops on the flower.
Here is the Mixed media Academy challenge moodboard that inspired me. Hope you all enjoyed my art.
I am so excited to share this beautiful mixed media wall decor project I created using the the moodboard for Splashymix Challenge for March monthly challenge.
I was inspired by the beautiful colours of green and yellow and what stood out for me were the yummy lemon in their bright yellow colours.I have used a wooden blank as my base, the lemon and leaves are handsclupted in airdry clay and painted with multisurface paints. And the borders are decorated with mosaic tiles
For this project my inspiration has been the Italian lemon groves, dining among the garden with the sweet smell of lemon blossoms wafting through the gentle breeze, Oh, what a bliss
Hi everyone, hope you all are doing well. I very excited to share today’s project I made as DT project for Craftydreamers. I just loved the moodboard and found this home sign perfect for spring. I have added few step by step pics for on how I created this beautiful piece of art.
Step by step instructions
I have provided links to the products used to create this beautiful project
1.Take a 10 inch mdf circle and a Mason jar mdf cutout
2. Paints with 2 coats of chalkpaint sandstone with a drying time of 30 minutes between each coat. Dry brush the shade choco cookie over the mdf circle. And at the edges of Mason jar. Let it dry
3. Apply clear wax along the edges and irregularly over the mdf circle
5.Apply each colour of archival multisurface paints in layers to get a rainbow like effect . For the purple shade I used a mix of pink and blue. Let it dry completely
6.Sand lightly using a sandpaper along the edges and on the top to get a distressed look
7.Arrrange handmade flowers as you like and stick them in place using silicon glue.
8.I have added few clay ladybirds from a previous project and wrote Home Sweet Home using metallic gold marker. I added a bow with satin ribbon on top, added a cotton cord to hang it and it’s done. I have added few Deco transfer designs and sealed the wall hanging with Littlebirdie gloss varnish.
